The Fair was very kind to us this year.
Judea got a best in show for her photography. Both Sam and Bobo won blue ribbons and I got the sweepstakes for writing. The writing community is rather tight around here. I have known all the sweepstake winners in the past, so it was very nice that I got the top honor, because I never thought I would with the amount of experience and talent I have to compete against.
The Mentoring program also got the top honor in the "Canstruction" contest. We built a tomato patch out of campbells soup cans and used the theme "planting seeds for tomorrow."
More trophies and ribbons for the office. We may have to get a trophy cabinet!
How cool was it that you took top honors in writing? What was it for? That's very cool about all your other ribbons, too. I'd like to see Judea's photography that won her a blue ribbon. You must all be strutting around very proudly this week!
